It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of our beloved "Laurie" Laurel J. Richey on February 12, 2018 from a long and noble fight against cancer. For those of you that had the privilege to know her, this will be nothing new; for those of you that didn't get a chance to share time with her, we would like to share with the world what she meant to all of us. Throughout her life, Laurie was an unbelievably strong and loving person. If you ever needed advice or someone to talk to, she was always there for friends, family, and anyone in need. She was to all of us something to truly behold. Even in her final days when she was not nearly as sharp as we all remember, she displayed the intuitiveness and courage to let those close to her know where she wanted to be, who she wanted around, and what she would like done, all this while worrying about others feelings. This was the kind of woman we lost on February 12th. For every one of us, this is an unbelievable and devastating loss.
She is survived by her beloved husband Thomas Richey, children Ryan Rodal, Sarah (Greg) Gagliardi, and Dawn (Jess) Holbrook. Her father Carl Hagstrom and step-father Paton Eliot. Siblings Mark (Melody) Hagstrom, Elizabeth (Barney) Corgatelli, Kathy (Tom) Price, Kellie (Mark) Bassen, and Mike Elliot. Her many numerous nieces and nephews and her three grandchildren Amelia, Hazel, and Enzo whom she loved dearly.
We would like to invite you to share in a celebration of her life, and help us all heal during this time. Please join us on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 pm at The Vashon Room, The Hall at Fauntleroy, 9131 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA.
