The March 13 meeting of the Admiral Neighborhood Association promises to be of much higher interest since the topics cover issues with high impact to the community. The event will start at 6:30pm at The Sanctuary at Admiral, at 2656 42nd Ave SW.
SPF 30 preview and discussion
The CEO and other representatives from Sub Pop Records will be the featured speakers to outline their plans for SPF 30, their 30th Anniversary Party in Alki on Saturday, August 11. This day long event (noon-10pm) will feature 4-stages, food trucks, beer gardens, merchandise booths, non-profit tables, and a family area with kid attractions.
Because the event will require street closures, and other considerations of interest to area residents, representatives will be available to describe area impacts, and answer questions of Admiral & West Seattle residents.
ST3 Overview/Review
Larry Wymer will provide an overview of the 'Sound Transit 3' Light Rail project in West Seattle, including 24 artistic renderings of what the proposed line will look like throughout its proposed 'representative alignment' within West Seattle, with suggestions proposed by the Junction Neighborhood organization [JuNO) to move proposed elevated track underground.
Summer Concert Series
The six week series that starts in late July will be discussed. Concerts take place on the east lawn at Hiawatha Park from 6:30-8PM on Thursday evenings.
