Sports events worth keeping an eye on

Football
Ballard comes down to the Southwest Athletic Complex to take on Chief Sealth in a 5 p.m. game Friday and West Seattle pays a visit to Franklin at Seattle Memorial Stadium at the same time.
Mount Rainier goes to French Field for a 7 p.m. game against Kentridge that day and Kennedy Catholic waits until 5 p.m. Saturday to play Enumclaw at Highline Memorial.
Highline hosts Steilacoom for a 7 p.m. Friday clash as Evergreen goes to South Sound Stadium to play River Ridge.
Seattle Lutheran visits Rainier Christian for a 7 p.m. game at Kentwood High School on Friday.
Girls soccer
Kennedy Catholic hosts Tahoma for a 6 p.m. match at Starfire on Tuesday and Mount Rainier travels to Kentwood for 7:30 p.m. action. The Rams are at Tahoma at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and the Lancers are at Hazen at the same time.
Chief Sealth, meanwhile, plays host to Franklin at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday as Ballard entertains Roosevelt and West Seattle travels to Garfield. Thursday’s Metro League schedule has West Seattle at Ballard at 4:30 p.m. and Chief Sealth at Cleveland at 4 p.m.
Tyee hosts River Ridge at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Valley Ridge and Evergreen entertains Washington at 7:30 p.m. at Highline Stadium. Highline travels to Eatonville and Foster to Orting at 7 p.m.
Thursday Tyee will be at Highline Memorial playing Orting at 7:30 p.m. and Foster hosts Fife at 7 p.m. as Highline travels to Washington and Evergreen to Clover Park.
Volleyball
Mount Rainier is at home against Decatur at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Kennedy Catholic travels to Auburn-Riverside at 7:15 p.m.
Thursday the Rams host Auburn at 7 p.m. as JFK goes to Enumclaw.
Chief Sealth visits Ballard at 7 p.m. Monday as West Seattle goes to Ingraham and West Seattle hosts Nathan Hale at the same time Wednesday as Chief Sealth entertains Roosevelt and Ballard travels to Cleveland. Chief Sealth hosts Evergreen for a non-league match at the same time Friday.
Tyee gets a 7:15 p.m. Tuesday visit from nearby Foster as Evergreen hosts Lindbergh and Highline goes to Renton.
Tyee entertains River Ridge at the same time Thursday as Evergreen hosts Washington, Highline travels to Eatonville and Foster to Orting.
Seattle Lutheran visits Rainier Christian for a 6 p.m. Tuesday match and hosts Pope John Paul II at the same time Thursday.
Girls swimming
Kennedy Catholic hosts Kentridge for a 3 p.m. meet at the Tukwila pool Tuesday as Mount Rainier visits Kentlake.
Highline, Evergreen and Tyee visit Steilacoom at the Clover Park pool at 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Foster goes to Foss at 5 p.m.
Chief Sealth and West Seattle visit Eastside Catholic at 4 p.m. Friday.
Boys tennis
Mount Rainier visits Highline at 3:30 p.m. Monday before hosting Kent-Meridian at the same time Tuesday as Kennedy Catholic hosts Kentwood at Steve Cox.
Mount Rainier hosts Hazen as Kennedy entertains Tahoma at the same time Thursday and Friday’s schedule has JFK hosting Kentridge and Mount Rainier traveling to Kentlake.
Highline hosts River Ridge at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday as Tyee travels to Fife and Foster to Foss. Thursday Tyee is at home against Franklin Pierce with Highline at Eatonville and Foster at Washington.

Mariners
Seattle plays the final homestand of the season at Safeco Field this week.
The Mariners host the Oakland A’s at 7:10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before entertaining the Texas Rangers at the same time Thursday and Friday, at 6:10 p.m. Saturday and 12:10 p.m. Sunday.
M’s games are carried on ROOT Sports cable television.
Sounders
Seattle gets a 1 p.m. visit from Colorado at CenturyLink Field on Saturday with JOEtv showing the game live.
Seahawks
Seattle travels to Arizona to play the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
The action can be seen on Channel 13.
Thunderbirds
Seattle visits Vancouver for a 7:30 p.m. Western Hockey League match on Friday before going to Portland for 6:05 p.m. action Saturday.

Husky football
The University of Washington gets a visit from Brigham Young University for a 5:30 p.m. game Saturday that will be televised on Channel 13.
Cougar football
Washington State University will be in Pullman playing Utah in a 3 p.m. Saturday game on the Pac-12 cable television network.
