Ballard and Kennedy Catholic both posted wins Saturday to advance in high school football playoff action.
The Beavers edged Lakeside, 23-22, in a Metro League playoff and JFK's Lancers outscored Kentridge, 68-41, in a North Puget Sound League playoff that was tied, 28-28 at halftime.
Both will play again on the road in further playoffs this coming Friday.
Ballard goes all the way South to Vancouver to play Mountain View in a 7:30 p.m. game and Kennedy visits Puyallup in 7 p.m. action at Sparks Stadium
Both teams are 6-3 overall.
Chief Sealth and Mount Rainier, meanwhile, both took playoff losses.
Health's Seahawks fell to Roosevelt by a 42-25 score Saturday and the Rams fell to Kentwood, 54-6, Friday.
Other local teams were involved in non-playoff games.
Seattle Lutheran posted a 49-33 win over the Muckleshoot Tribal School on Saturday and Highline routed Renton on Friday, 48-19.
Evergreen lost to Lindbergh, 45-25, Friday and West Seattle lost, 44-38, to Thomas Jefferson on Thursday.
Foster fell, 46-16, at Clover Park on Thursday.
