Girls soccer
West Seattle will head to Roy Anderson Field in Gig Harbor for its state tournament opener Tuesday, taking on the Gig Harbor Tides in a 7 p.m. match.
Volleyball
West Seattle and Ballard are scheduled to play simultaneously on separate Lakeside High School courts in Sea-King District action at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
West Seattle will play Interlake as Ballard takes on Juanita.
Winners play again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Kennedy Catholic is still alive in Class 4A bi-district action, taking on Rogers of Puyallup at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kent-Meridian gymnasium.
Girls swimming
The King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way is hosting state swimming and diving action this Friday and Saturday.
Class 2A preliminaries start at 9:45 a.m. Friday, followed by the Class 3A preliminaries at 2 p.m. Friday and the Class 4A preliminaries at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The Class 2A finals begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday and the Class 3A finals at 2:10 p.m.
The Class 4A finals cap off the meet starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Washington State University hosts Nicholls at 4 p.m. Sunday in Pullman with the Pac-12 network carrying the action live.
