Girls soccer

West Seattle will head to Roy Anderson Field in Gig Harbor for its state tournament opener Tuesday, taking on the Gig Harbor Tides in a 7 p.m. match.

Volleyball

West Seattle and Ballard are scheduled to play simultaneously on separate Lakeside High School courts in Sea-King District action at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

West Seattle will play Interlake as Ballard takes on Juanita.

Winners play again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kennedy Catholic is still alive in Class 4A bi-district action, taking on Rogers of Puyallup at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kent-Meridian gymnasium.

Girls swimming

The King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way is hosting state swimming and diving action this Friday and Saturday.

Class 2A preliminaries start at 9:45 a.m. Friday, followed by the Class 3A preliminaries at 2 p.m. Friday and the Class 4A preliminaries at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

The Class 2A finals begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday and the Class 3A finals at 2:10 p.m.

The Class 4A finals cap off the meet starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Seattle visits the Los Angeles Rams for a 1:25 p.m. game Sunday that can be seen live on Channel 7.

Seattle hosts the second leg of its Major League Soccer playoffs against Portland at 7 p.m. Thursday at CenturyLink Field.

Washington has a bye this week before hosting the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Washington State University goes on the road to Colorado for action this Saturday.

Washington entertains Western Kentucky for a 7:30 p.m. basketball game Tuesday on ESPNU before visiting Auburn at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Husky women

The Huskies play host to Cal State Fullerton at 7 p.m. Thursday before entertaining Northern Arizona at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Cougar men

Washington State University hosts Nicholls at 4 p.m. Sunday in Pullman with the Pac-12 network carrying the action live.

The Cougars entertain Utah State at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Saint Mary’s at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Seattle University plays a 7 p.m. game at Stanford on Tuesday before hosting the University of Puget Sound at 7 p.m. Thursday and Bryant at 7 p.m. Sunday.
