Working overtime paid off in a big way for the Kennedy Catholic boys basketball team in action played Friday, Jan. 4.

The Lancers of Burien battled the Mount Rainier Rams of Des Moines to a tie through regulation time before pulling out a narrow 61-59 victory in overtime.

The North Puget Sound League Cascade Division action took place in the Kennedy Catholic gymnasium.

Both teams are scheduled to return to action Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.

Mount Rainier plays host to Kentwood as Kennedy entertains Tahoma.
