West Central District 4A and 2A and Metro League 3A boys and girls basketball action is set to begin this week.
Playoffs open Monday in the Metro League, with West Seattle hosting Franklin at 7 p.m. in girls action.
The Chief Sealth girls visit Cleveland and the boys go to Bainbridge at the same time.
Ballard, meanwhile, has a home doubleheader. The girls entertain Lakeside at 5:45 p.m. and the boys host Nathan Hale at 7:30 p.m.
The West Seattle boys drew a bye and open at home at 7 p.m. Tuesday against an opponent to be determined Monday.
Metro League tournament action runs through Friday.
The 4A West Central District girls tournament opens Wednesday with Kennedy Catholic visiting Thomas Jefferson at 7 p.m.
Mount Rainier hosts the Kennedy Catholic boys at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Foster boys open 2A District play with a 7 p.m. home game against Olympic on Wednesday.
The Foster girls wait to host a foe to be determined at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Tyee girls season ended with a 37-31 loss to Orting in the South Puget Sound League tournament Friday as the Highline boys fell to Renton, 60-54, and the Highline girls lost to Franklin Pierce.
Foster lost to Franklin pierce not Renton beat Renton two out of three games this years.
