Providence Mount St. Vincent and the Seattle Archdiocese have decided to cancel the Eucharistic Celebration and Anointing of the Sick for World Day of the Sick on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. The event was to feature Seattle Archbishop J. Peter Sartain at Providence Mount St. Vincent in West Seattle.
“Safety is our top concern. With a large snow storm predicted to hit the Seattle area on Friday Feb. 8, we thought it only prudent to cancel this event,” said Molly Swain, executive director of the Providence Mount St. Vincent Foundation and director of development and public relations. “We know our community will agree with our decision.”
Providence Mount St. Vincent looks forward to holding a special mass for World Day of the Sick in 2020.
