Sports events worth keeping an eye on

Baseball
Mount Rainier hosts Kentridge for a 4 p.m. game Thursday as Kennedy Catholic entertains Kentwood and at the same time Friday Cleveland is at Ballard, Bainbridge at West Seattle and Chief Sealth at Washington.
Two special games are on tap for Saturday, with Kennedy meeting Seattle Prep for a noon game at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma and Highline playing Newport at 3 p.m. at Safeco Field.
Mount Rainier and Kennedy play back-to-back at Hogan Park at Russell Road in Kent on Monday, with the Rams playing Kentridge at 4 p.m. and Kennedy meeting Kentwood at 7 p.m.
Foster hosts Renton at 3:30 p.m. that day with Evergreen entertaining Highline and Tyee visiting Lindbergh.
At 4 p.m. Monday West Seattle hosts Nathan Hale and Ballard visits O’Dea.
Tyee hosts Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday as Foster visits Renton. Highline hosts Evergreen at 4 p.m. and Seattle Lutheran plays Evergreen Lutheran at Sprinker in Spanaway.
At 4 p.m. Wednesday Kennedy hosts Tahoma, Mount Rainier entertains Kent-Meridian, Ballard visits Roosevelt, West Seattle visits Ingraham and Chief Sealth goes to O’Dea.
Fastpitch softball
Ballard gets a 4 p.m. Thursday visit from Cleveland and Tyee is at Decatur at the same time, with Highline going to Sammamish at 4:30 p.m.
Mount Rainier plays host to Kent-Meridian and West Seattle goes to Ingraham at 4 p.m. Friday.
Highline entertains Eatonville at 3:30 p.m. Monday and at 4 p.m. Orting is at Foster, Evergreen at Washington, Tyee at River Ridge and Chief Sealth at Franklin.
Evergreen hosts Clover Park at 4 p.m. Tuesday as Foster goes to Fife, Mount Rainier to Hazen and Kennedy to Kent-Meridian. Tyee visits Orting at noon and Highline hosts Washington at 3:30 p.m.
Kennedy pays a 4 p.m. Wednesday visit to Kentridge as Chief Sealth goes to Holy Names.
Boys soccer
Chief Sealth hosts Seattle Prep at 4 p.m. Thursday as West Seattle entertains Nathan Hale and Ballard gets a visit from Roosevelt.
Tyee is at home playing Orting at 7:30 p.m. that day with Mount Rainier visiting Hazen and Kennedy going to Kentwood.
Evergreen entertains White River at 7 p.m. Friday.
Highline hosts Fife at 5:30 p.m. Monday as Tyee goes to Steilacoom and Foster to Foss.
Kennedy is at Starfire playing Kent-Meridian at 6 p.m. that day with Mount Rainier getting a 7:30 p.m. visit from Kentwood.
Evergreen goes to Renton at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday with Highline hosting Tyee and Foster entertaining Lindbergh at 7 p.m.
At 7:30 p.m. Mount Rainier is at Kent-Meridian and Kennedy at Tahoma.
Tennis
Evergreen gets a 3:30 p.m. Thursday visit from Renton as Kennedy Catholic hosts Kentwood and Mount Rainier entertains Kent-Meridian. Garfield visits Ballard at 4 p.m.
Kennedy Catholic plays host to Kentlake at 3:30 p.m. Friday and West Seattle visits Seattle Prep at 4 p.m.
Tyee hosts Washington and Foster visits Foss at 3:30 p.m. Monday and scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday are Kennedy at Enumclaw and Tyee at Foss.
Eatonville visits Foster at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Track and field
Chief Sealth hosts West Seattle, Lakeside and Eastside Catholic for a 2:45 p.m. meet Thursday as Ballard goes to Nathan Hale with Holy Names/O’Dea.
Evergreen/Tyee visits Foster at 3:30 p.m. that day as Orting and White River drop in on Highline and Kennedy goes to Auburn-Riverside.
Highline participates in the Arnie Young Invitational at Renton Saturday.
Pros
Mariners
The high-flying Seattle Mariners are in Chicago for three games against the White Sox over the next four days.
They play the White Sox at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and take Friday off.
Seattle goes on to Kansas City for 5:15 p.m. action against the Royals Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mariners games can be seen on ROOT Sports cable television.
Rainiers
Tacoma visits the Sacramento Rivercats for 7:05 p.m. Pacific Coast League baseball games Thursday, Friday and Saturday ahead of a 1:05 p.m. Sunday contest and a 12:05 p.m. game Monday.
The Rainiers come home to Cheney Stadium to play El Paso at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sounders
Seattle hosts Real Salt Lake for a 7 p.m. Major League Soccer match on Saturday that will be carried on JOEtv.
Seawolves
Seattle’s Major League Rugby team visits Utah for 6 p.m. Friday action that will be televised on ROOT Sports.
Colleges
Husky baseball
Washington visits Arizona for a 7 p.m. Friday and a 3 p.m. Saturday contest with both shown on the Pac-12 cable television network.
Husky softball
Washington is at California for a 3 p.m. game Friday and a 1 p.m. game Saturday.
Redhawk baseball
Seattle University entertains California Baptist at 4 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
