Baseball
Ballard and West Seattle collide in a 7 p.m. Metro League playoff at the Southwest Athletic Complex Thursday, with the winner playing at 7 p.m. Saturday at Steve Cox in White Center and the loser at 10 a.m. Saturday at Steve Cox.
Chief Sealth plays a loser-out game against Bainbridge at 4 p.m. Friday at Steve Cox and the winner of that game plays another loser-out game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Steve Cox. The tournament continues Monday and Tuesday at Steve Cox.
Kennedy Catholic opens West Central District action with a 7 p.m. Tuesday game against Puyallup at Heritage Park in Puyallup.
Seattle Christian, meanwhile, visits Liberty at 4:30 p.m. Thursday before hosting Seattle Lutheran at 4 p.m. Friday.
Boys soccer
Chief Sealth wraps up its regular season with a 7 p.m. visit to Eastside Catholic on Thursday with Metro League preliminary playoffs taking place at 4 p.m. Saturday at various sites.
Metro League playoffs continue at Interbay Stadium and the Southwest Athletic Complex on Monday and Tuesday and at Interbay only next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Mount Rainier hosts Auburn-Mountainview for a 3 p.m. North Puget Sound League playoff at Highline Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
Foster plays Port Angeles in a noon playoff at Peninsula on Saturday and Highline waits until Tuesday to play a 7 p.m. playoff at Harry Lang Stadium in Lakewood next to Clover Park High School.
Fastpitch softball
Kennedy Catholic hosts Kentridge for a 3:30 p.m. Thursday game and Mount Rainier visits Kent-Meridian at 4 p.m.
Tyee gets a 3:30 p.m. visit from Foster that day with Evergreen hosting Lindbergh and Highline visiting Renton at 4 p.m.
Seattle Christian goes to Vashon for 4 p.m. Thursday action before dropping in on Tyee at 3:30 p.m. Friday and hosting Klahowya at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Foster is at home playing Sammamish at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Southwest Athletic Complex is the site of the Metro League playoffs Monday and Tuesday and again next Thursday and Friday.
Tennis
Tyee hosts Renton for a 3:30 p.m. Thursday match as Foster goes to Clover Park, Highline to Eatonville and Evergreen to Lindbergh.
Auburn and Kent-Meridian put on the North Puget Sound League tournament action starting at 11 a.m. Friday before it switches to Auburn only at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The South Puget Sound League 2A tournament starts at 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Clover Park.
Track and field
Chief Sealth hosts Roosevelt, Holy Names/O’Dea and Eastside Catholic at 2:45 p.m. Thursday as Ballard goes to Nathan Hale with Blanchet and West Seattle to Ingraham with Seattle Prep.
Kennedy Catholic goes to Tahoma with Enumclaw at 3:30 p.m. that day.
Highline hosts Evergreen, Mount Rainier and Tyee at 3:30 p.m. Friday as the Nisqually League including Seattle Christian converges on West Seattle Stadium.
Franklin Pierce puts on Sea-Tac League action starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The North Puget Sound League meet starts at 3:30 p.m. that day at Auburn as the Metro League meet starts at the Southwest Athletic Complex.

Seattle opens a three-game series in Cleveland against the Indians with a 4:10 p.m. game Friday. The series continues with 1:10 p.m. Saturday and 10:10 a.m. Sunday games.
It’s on to New York to play the Yankees at 3:35 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Mariners games can be seen on ROOT Sports cable television.

Seattle visits Minnesota for 5 p.m. Major League Soccer action Saturday on JOEtv.

Tukwila’s Major League Rugby team is off until Saturday, May 11 when it visits New York at 1:30 p.m.

The pro women’s soccer team visits Washington D.C. for a 4 p.m. Saturday match.
Rainiers
Tacoma is in Salt Lake City for a 9:35 a.m. Pacific Coast League baseball game Thursday before coming home to Cheney Stadium to take on Albuquerque at 7:05 p.m. Friday, 5:05 p.m. Saturday, 1:35 p.m. Sunday and 6:05 p.m. Monday.
The Reno Aces fly in for 6:05 p.m. games Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Auburn horse racing track is open for action at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Husky-Cougar baseball
Washington goes to Pullman to play Washington State University at 7 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday on the Pac-12 cable television network.
WSU plays a 6 p.m. game at Gonzaga on Monday.

Washington visits Arizona for a 5 p.m. game Friday, a 1 p.m. game Saturday and a noon game Sunday on the Pac-12 network.
