Nisqually League and West Central District III No. 2 Seattle Christian defeated Northeast League and District 7 No. 1 Colville 6-3 in a 1A State semifinal game at Yakima County Stadium on Fri., May 24, to procure a state championship berth against University Prep the following day in the same location at 4 p.m.
The Warriors (20-5) notched two runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 2-1 lead, but the Indians (18-4) attacked back with a solo run in the top of the fourth to tie the game at 3-3.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Seattle Christian High School rallied for three runs, which would be enough to win, before adding an additional tally in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Connor Knack doubled twice while David Kudenchuk and Nolen Stevenson each had a double in the seven-hit Warrior offense.
Jake Lindquist had two hits for Colville.
Stevenson started on the hill for SC before Heffernan earned the save by pitching scoreless innings in the sixth and the seventh.
