West Seattle entertains Chief Sealth for an 8:30 p.m. Friday crosstown contest.

Ballard is at home playing Roosevelt at the same time.

Seattle Christian visits Charles Wright at 7 p.m. Friday and Seattle Lutheran drops in on Puget Sound Adventist at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mount Rainier hosts Auburn-Riverside for a 7 p.m. playoff Thursday and Kennedy Catholic entertains Todd Beamer at 7:45 p.m.

Foster visits Renton for a 7 p.m. playoff Thursday.

 

Girls basketball

West Seattle gets a visit from Chief Sealth at 7 p.m. Friday and Ballard hosts Roosevelt at the same time.

Seattle Christian goes to Charles Wright at 5:15 p.m. Friday and to Annie Wright at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Seattle Lutheran visits Puget Sound Adventist at 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

Foster faces a 7 p.m. playoff game at Eatonville Wednesday and Thursday Kennedy Catholic entertains Enumclaw at 6 p.m.

 

Gymnastics

Auburn Mountainview is putting on the South Puget Sound League 2A meet at 6 p.m. Friday and the North Puget Sound League 4A Cascade Division meet involving Mount Rainier and Kennedy Catholic at 4:25 p.m. Saturday.

Roosevelt hosts Metro League action at 7 p.m. Friday.

 

Wrestling

Chief Sealth hosts Metro League girls action at 2 p.m. Friday with the boys going at it at 6:30 p.m.

Both the girls and boys action starts up again at 10 a.m. Saturday.

SPSL 2A teams go to Spanaway Lake at 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday for girls.

The Foster boys compete at Fife at 9 a.m. Saturday as Tyee, Highline and Evergreen go to Eatonville.

Kent Meridian hosts NPSL 4A girls at 1 p.m. Friday and boys action Friday and Saturday.

 

Boys swimming

The NPSL 4A meet is at Curtis Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the Metro meet Friday and Saturday at SnoAqua.

Hazen hosts the SPSL 2A meet at 5:30 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.

Seattle's new XFL team coached by former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Jim Zorn opens its season with an 11 a.m. Saturday game at Washington, D.C.

The action can be seen live on Channel 4 television.

Seattle opens its regular Major League Rugby season with a 2 p.m. Sunday visit to San Diego.

CBSSN will televise the match.

 

Thunderbirds

Seattle drops in on Lethbridge for a 6 p.m. Friday Western Hockey League match before going to Moose Jaw for 6:30 p.m. action Saturday.

Washington visits Washington State University at 3 p.m. Sunday in Pullman with ESPNU showing the game live.

Washington gets a 7 p.m. Friday visit from Utah and a noon Sunday visit from Colorado.

Washington State University entertains Colorado for a 7 p.m. Friday clash and Utah comes to Pullman at noon Sunday.

Seattle University visits Utah Valley for a 1 p.m. Saturday game.

Utah Valley visits Seattle University at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Gonzaga University hosts Loyola Marymount for an 8 p.m. Thursday game on CBSSN before visiting Saint Mary's at 7 p.m. Saturday on ESPN.
