Husky men
The University of Washington men's basketball team hosts Colorado for a 6 p.m. Wednesday game this week before entertaining Utah at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Wednesday's action will be televised on ESPNU and Sunday's on ESPN2.
The Huskies threw a scare into first place UCLA Saturday before taking an 81-76 defeat on the Bruins' floor.
Washington, which held a 10-point halftime lead, was led by the 23 points of Quade Green.
Hameir Wright had 15 points, Erik Stevenson 11, Riley Sorn 10 and Marcus Tsohonis nine.
Wright led with seven rebounds and Green with five assists.
Washington went down to a 95-68 loss Thursday at USC.
Stevenson led with 16 points as Nate Roberts scored 12 and hauled down nine rebounds. Jamal Bey scored 11.
Husky women
Washington visits Oregon State for a 7 p.m. game this Friday and Oregon at 2 p.m. Sunday as it is scheduled to return to action after two weeks off for COVID issues.
Both games can be seen on the Pac-12 cable television network.
Cougar men
Washington State University gets a 7 p.m. Thursday visit from Utah before entertaining Colorado at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Both games will be carried on the Pac-12 network.
UCLA handed the visiting Cougars a 91-61 loss Thursday night.
Isaac Bonton led WSU with 23 points as Noah Williams knocked in nine and Dishon Jackson eight.
Bonton buried 27 points and led with four assists in an 85-77 loss at USC on Saturday.
Williams and Jackson finished with 14 points apiece and Efe Abogidi scored 10 and led with 12 rebounds.
Cougar women
Charlisse Leger-Walker scored 29 points and Krystal Leger-Walker hit 23 but the Cougars fell to USC in overtime Friday, 81-77.
WSU also went into overtime at UCLA Sunday and lost, 68-66.
Charlisse Leger-Walker led with 18 points as Bella Murekatete scored 14 and Krystal Leger-Walker 13.
Next up for WSU is a 5 p.m. Friday visit to Oregon on the Pac-12 network and a visit to Oregon State at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Redhawk men
Seattle University took visiting Utah Valley into overtime Friday before losing, 93-92.
Darrion Trammell led the Redhawks with 26 points as Riley Grigsby tallied 20. Aaron Nettles knocked in 19 and Vasja Pandza added 10.
Saturday's rematch on the same floor was cancelled by COVID.
Seattle visits Tarleton State at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Redhawk women
Home standing Utah Valley cruised to a 66-56 win over the Redhawks on Friday.
McKenzi Williams and Bree Calhoun paced Seattle with 12 points apiece. Chinwe Ezeonu was next with nine.
The Redhawks fell, 78-66, to the same team Saturday, when Williams led with 20 points. Calhoun added 12 and Irena Korolenko 10.
Seattle hosts Tarleton State for 3 p.m. games Friday and Saturday.
Falcon men
A 30-point outing by Divant'e Moffitt was not enough to save Seattle Pacific University in a 95-83 season opening loss to Whitworth last Wednesday.
Harry Cavell was next with 19 points. Sharif Khan and Zack Paulsen tossed in 10 apiece.
The Falcons played the team on the same floor the next night and only lost to the Pirates by a 69-65 score.
Mehdi El Mardi paced SPU with 14 points and Moffitt had 12 points and four assists.
Cabell added 11 points and led with 10 rebounds. Kelton Samore scored 10 and Paulsen nine.
The Falcons visit Saint Martin's at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Lacey.
Falcon women
Seattle Pacific opened its season with a 56-51 victory over Pacific Lutheran on Monday, Jan. 11.
It was the Falcons' first game since Feb. 29 of last year.
"I kind of felt like we had to keep shaking the cobwebs off," said SPU head coach Mike Simonson.
Hunter Beirne scored 17 points to lead the way to victory and Ashley Alter added 12.
Alter led with 25 points Friday in a 72-66 loss to Saint Martin's. Natalie Hoff had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
SPU came back to beat Saint Martin's Saturday by a 61-50 score.
Alter paced the Falcons with 20 points. Kayla Brundidge and Rachel Berg hit 10 apiece.
SPU hosts Lewis and Clark State at 6 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Bulldog men
Corey Kispert scored 23 points and hauled down nine rebounds as No. 1-ranked Gonzaga downed Pepperdine by a 95-70 score Thursday.
Drew Timme contributed 20 points and seven rebounds as Joel Ayayi added 19 points and Jalen Suggs 18. Anton Watson scored six and led with 10 rebounds.
The Zags improved to 14-0 overall with a 73-59 victory at St. Mary's Saturday.
Kispert led with 17 points as Ayayi swished in 16 and Timme and Suggs 14 apiece. Timme led with eight rebounds.
Gonzaga hosts Pacific for a 7 p.m. Saturday game on ROOT Sports.
Bulldog women
Jill Townsend tallied 20 points as the Zags defeated Santa Clara by a 71-52 score Thursday.
Jenn Wirth finished with 15 points, four rebounds and four assists and LeeAnn Wirth with eight points and six rebounds.
Kayleigh Truong scored 17 to lead Gonzaga past host San Francisco on Saturday, 76-52.
It was the 11th win in a row for the Zags, who improved to 12-2 overall.
Townsend led with seven rebounds.
Gonzaga entertains Brigham Young University at 2 p.m. Saturday.
