It wasn't even close.
Highline reigns supreme in the KingCo Class 2A division following Friday's lopsided win at the home of Interlake -- the team that was its closest competitors going in.
The Pirates finished 6-0 in division play with the win, a full two games ahead of second place finishers Interlake (4-2, 4-4) and Renton (4-2, 5-3).
Highline improved its overall record to 7-2.
West Seattle 42, Chief Sealth 0
West Seattle wrested the Huling Bowl trophy away from cross community rival Chief Sealth for the first time since 2016 with Thursday's decisive victory.
The Wildcats led, 28-0, at halftime in a game originally scheduled for Sept. 17 but postponed because of an on-campus altercation.
It was played Thursday instead as part of Metro League division crossover week. It was not one of the playoffs, but was for bragging rights in the West Seattle and White Center area.
