Three area Little League teams entered state tournament play this past weekend and all three won one of three games.
The oldest of the group was the Juniors age 13 team from the Southwest charter in White Center.
Southwest entered the tournament as the only Juniors team from District 7.
It opened state with a 15-5 loss to South Hill of Puyallup on Saturday but rebounded to outslug Sedro Woolley/South Skagit by a wild 29-22 score Sunday.
Southwest bowed out with an 11-2 loss to Everett on Tuesday.
The West Seattle Majors, meanwhile, opened their age 10-12 tournament at Snider Park in Poulsbo with a 2-1 victory over Larch Mountain.
But the Westsiders lost to Northeast by a 7-1 score Sunday before Salmon Creek edged them out of the tournament Monday, 3-1.
West Seattle also sent a team to the age 8-10 girls fastpitch softball tournament in Woodinville.
It opened with a 10-0 defeat at the hands of South Hill Sunday but beat Camas the next day, 14-8.
Sedro Woolley ousted West Seattle Tuesday, 8-4.
