A top twelve car thief eludes police in West Seattle: His girlfriend was caught

Our news partner Q13Fox News and David Rose, host of Washington's Most Wanted shared this crime note from last night.

One of the top twelve wanted car thieves in Seattle barely escaped police last night and showed he's no gentleman in his frantic getaway. Seattle Police spotted accused car thief Nick Broughton with the love of his life, Jennifer Lasky, in West Seattle late last night driving a Kia Sportage.

When they tried to pull him over, officers on the Southwest Anti-Crime Team say he ran and was able to avoid being tazed. A K-9 team was called in but couldn't find Broughton.

He did, however, leave his love behind to be arrested on her warrants. Lasky is in the King County Jail. Broughton has a $50,000 dollar warrant for his arrest for stolen vehicles and identity theft.

Broughton also has a $5,000 misdemeanor warrant in Tukwila. He is believed to be armed with a handgun. extremely paranoid and high on meth. He is 6'3" and weighs 165 pounds. His family members insisted to me that he was going to court and getting his life straight. Last night's events say differently.
