information from Seattle Police Department
The Seattle Police Department has launched a new data portal, allowing Seattle residents to view monthly updates on officer response times, proactive patrols, public nuisance complaints, and data on 911 calls from around the city.
The Calls for Service Dashboard differs from the department’s Crime Dashboard in that it displays calls for service—reports to 911—rather than confirmed incidents documented in a report.
By providing data on the hundreds of thousands of calls SPD receives every year, as well as police response times, and neighborhood concerns, the public will have a clearer picture of how the department allocates resources, and how members of your community are utilizing the 911 system.

The SV Pointless was refloated Wednesday after losing its mooring and running aground along Beach Drive SW. The effort was made by putting floats around the beached vessel and then towing it back out as the high tide came in.
Original Post
High winds on Tuesday were at least partially responsible for a sailboat running aground near Emma Schmitz Memorial Viewpoint on Beach Drive SW.
The boat is owned by "Scupper" husband of Rhonda Porter who is well known in West Seattle as a community activist, mortgage loan officer and the editor of the Beach Drive Blog. (see below)
information from King County Metro
King County Metro invites the public to a joint open house with the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) on Oct. 10 in White Center as the agencies launch the second round of neighborhood conversations to upgrade Route 120 to become the RapidRide H Line in fall 2021.
Metro and Seattle will share updates on the project, including the future route proposal and station locations, and seek feedback on RapidRide station amenities and improvements that make it easier for people to reach transit.
