The Way It Was: New video takes a detailed look at West Seattle's Luna Park

“Let’s Go To Luna Park” is a very detailed and surprising documentary detailing the layout, location, and attractions that entertained the throngs at West Seattle’s own amusement park Luna Park that existed at Duwamish Head on Alki shortly after the turn of the 20th century for only four years from 1907 to 1913.

This is the first documentary by Paul Moyes, a local West Seattleite for over 18 years.

Moyes thoroughly researched the subject by combing through old newspaper articles and ads from the era, as well as working closely with previous authors who wrote on the subject.

Piecing together this information along with numerous photos, some of which were previously unpublished, Moyes was able to paint a clear picture of what it must have felt like to have walked around the park when it was still open between 1907 and 1913.
