West Seattle's Pizzeria Credo has been named Best Pizza in Washington by MSN. They note the 13 "classic pies on the menu made from imported flour and tomatoes, and all topped with homemade mozzarella. Pizzeria Credo has been featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and is also at or near the top for pizza in various travel guides.
Let’s get to know our local Seattle police officers! Each day will highlight a different specialty unit as campers participate in community-building activities. Small camp sizes let kids ask questions and see what happens in a day in the life of police officers from patrolmen to Mounted units (on horseback).

Undoubtedly, this has been a school year unlike any we have ever seen. Students and families were forced to make tough decisions about their child’s education and had to rapidly navigate a slew of online options. Many families decided to go with long-standing virtual schools like Washington Virtual Academy (WAVA), a state-wide online school-at-home based in Lusk that has been serving students in this state for more than 15 years. We asked WAVA Middle School teacher Hannah Baisch why teaching at an online school has really worked this year.

On Tuesday March 16, Seattle Public Schools and the Seattle Education Association came to a tentative agreement that facilitates the safe return to school buildings for preschool and elementary students and staff. The agreement focuses on creating safe learning environments and supports special education inclusion by keeping students with IEPs in class with their general education peers. This tentative agreement is being brought to the SEA membership to be ratified and to the SPS Board of Directors for approval next week.

In February 2020, the Burien City Council directed the Business and Economic Development Partnership (BEDP) to study whether food trucks should be allowed to operate in the City of Burien as part of their 2020 work plan.
After discussion and consideration, the BEDP recommended that a food truck pilot program be authorized for twelve (12) months to assess the efficacy of food truck operations in Burien. Program guidelines were developed to ensure local restaurants, community members, and food truck operators benefit from the program.
The program was approved at the March 15 meeting of the Burien City Council despite a petition signed by more than 50 restaurant owners who signed a petition with Latino advocacy group Empresarios Unidos in opposition to the pilot program.
