Yes for Highline kicks off 2022 bond campaign to support Highline Public Schools

2022 Highline Bond Campaign Kick-Off and Tour

WHEN: Tuesday, September 13, 2022

WHERE: Highline High School front lawn

WHAT: Rally at 6:00pm, followed by tours of the new Highline HS

You're invited to help us kick off the campaign to pass Proposition 1 -- the Highline Schools Bond -- on the November 8 ballot.  Come and meet Highline's new superintendent Dr. Ivan Duran and school board president Aaron Garcia, and learn why it is so important that we rebuild schools and ensure that our students are educated in safe, modern facilities.

If this bond is passed, three schools will be rebuilt: Evergreen High School in White Center, Tyee High School in SeaTac and Pacific Middle School in Des Moines.  Following the campaign rally, you will have an opportunity to tour the new Highline High School, which was rebuilt with funds from the last bond.

OP-ED -Send a letter, help a student

By Michelle Luxmore

After volunteering in my son’s 2nd Grade Class for the first time this past June, I went home and bawled my eyes out after seeing first hand our public education system drowning, Teachers, staff and students. I began to deeply imagine what it’s truly been like for the last 2 years.

To say our children, the adults of the future, are desperate for support is an understatement. Children can only have that support with proper and appreciated staff.

If you’ve made it this far into my post, Whether you have children or not, may you please consider flooding the emails of board members and the superintendent by simply following the link below:

We all thank you very much ♥️🙏♥️
