Mon, 07/25/2011
For the next three months, Seattle Channel's Ask the Mayor will be hosted by the award-winning veteran journalist Barry Mitzman.
Mitzman is currently the Director of Seattle University’s Center for Strategic Communications and previously, Mitzman had an accomplished career as a newspaper and television journalist and is well-known to Seattle audiences for his on-air work at the regional PBS station, KCTS/9, where he hosted Serious Money, Friday, and Ask the Governor. His regional TV news programs and national PBS documentaries earned many honors including a Peabody award, broadcasting’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize.
On Wednesday, July 27, join Mayor Mike McGinn and Barry Mitzman for the July episode of Ask the Mayor.
Does Mayor McGinn support the proposed $80 car-tab fee for city transportation projects? Why does the mayor want to extend the hours of some bars throughout Seattle? Why did the mayor pull all City advertising from Seattle Weekly over its escort ads?
Whatever your question, just email askthemayor@seattle.gov or call (206)684-8821 during the live show from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27. You can also follow the conversation on the @SeattleChannel Twitter feed. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the community discussion!
