Senior Caleb Jaeger was named the Kingco Baseball Pitcher of the Week this week.
Baseball:
Ballard Baseball hosted Eastlake at the Whitman Baseball field on Wednesday, April 4.
It was a very low scoring game last night and Ballard was the first to score in the third inning, when Rory Graf-Brennen batted in one RBI. Despite getting seven hits on Ballard pitcher Caleb Jaeger, Eastlake was unable to get any runs across the plate. Ballard won 1 to 0.
Caleb Jaeger pitched the entire game, striking out five and allowing no base on balls.

Softball:
The Beavers fastpitch team faced Inglemoor on Tuesday, April 3. Inglemoor is the ninth ranked team in the state.
The Beavers wasted no time in getting a strong lead, scoring two runs in their first at bat and two more runs in the third inning. Inglemoor's bats were warm, getting nine hits of Ballard pitcher Andrea Jewett but the Ballard defense was strong, and Inglemoor only managed to get two runs across the plate. Ballard meanwhile continued to get runs across the plate, beating Inglemoor 9 to 2.
Ballard had 10 hits and no errors. Inglemoor had 9 hits and 6 errors.
JUlia Boone went 2 for 4 with one homerun and one RBI. Lexi Gray was 1 for 4 with 1 double and 2 RBI.
Andrea Jewett pitched for 7 innings, striking out 10, walking 2, and allowing 9 hits.
Soccer:
It was a rough night for the Ballard boys soccer team on Tuesday night. The Beavers played against Skyline at Interbay Stadium and lost 7 to 0.
Skyline's Jason Twaddle scored in the 24th minute and the goals just kept coming after that.
Sean MacDonald put in two in a row, followed by another two by Kaleb Strawn. Jason Fuchs and Bradley Rustik continued to devastate the Ballard team which was unable to keep the ball long enough to turn the game around.
LAX:
Ballard's Josh Schwartzenberger scored a hat trick as Ballard cruised to its fifth win of the season on Tuesday night. The Beavers defeated Blanchet 7 to 4.
Ballard found the net early, scoring three unanswered goals in the first before Blanchet answered with three of its own in the second for a 5 - 3 Beaver lead at the half. In the third, Ballard again blanked the Braves, this time with two goals. Blanchet scored the lone goal in the fourth to close-out scoring.
Beaver goalkeeper Alex James had nine saves. Colin Evans had two goals and five ground balls for Blanchet.
