2:30 a.m., November 11. 1300 block of NW 57th St

Police responded to a Ballard neighborhood after receiving reports of multiple shots fired in the middle of the night. The unknown suspect, in a dark vehicle, fired several rounds and then left the area. The rounds went through the living room windows of a duplex, but no one was hurt. The individuals living in the duplex said they did not hear a disturbance and did not have any ongoing problems with anyone.

12:14 a.m., November 11. 1st block of NW 85th St

Police responded to reports that a burglar alarm had been tripped at a Ballard-area marijuana dispensary in the middle of the night on November 11. The responding officers arrived at the scene to find the door forced open, the office area ransacked, and three individuals sitting in chairs in front of the counter. The subjects said they were friends of the victim, who was on his way. They said that they arrived after the burglary had occurred and hadn’t found anyone inside.

The owner of the business arrived and confirmed the subjects’ story. He said that the suspect stole some documents and 2-3 ounces of marijuana, but the safe was untouched. A witness upstairs said that he had seen a shadowy figure leaving through the back door soon after the alarm was set off. The suspect was not found in the area.

4:26 p.m., November 10. 62nd block of 24th Ave NW

A man called police on the afternoon of November 10 to report that his home had been burglarized the previous day, most likely by an acquaintance. The victim said that he let a friend of a friend sleep on his couch. The suspect returned to the house later, but the victim was leaving and did not let him stay. The victim said that while he was out, his friend called to say that the suspect and a friend of the suspect were planning something. The victim returned home at around 10:00 p.m. on November 9 to find most of his electronics and good clothing gone. He said that he believed the suspect had found his spare keys and let himself into the house while the victim was away. The victim said that the suspect is a known burglar and a heroin addict. He gave a possible address for the suspect.
