Washington brewers, including a few from the Ballard neighborhood (at least Hilliard's and Populuxe), were in Olympia today protesting the proposed beer tax expansion under Gov. Jay Inslee's and House budgets which could double or quadruple the amount small breweries would have to pay in excise taxes.
