A single family house will be replaced by a four-story, 27-unit apartment building.
There will be a design review meeting tonight at Ballard High School, 6:30 p.m., to discuss the construction of a four-story, 27-unit apartment building at 1436 NW 62nd St.
It will replace a single family structure at the same place.
The developers, Playhouse Design Group, say the objective is to provide affordable housing in Ballard, a neighborhood where apartment prices are skyrocketing. The apartment units will all be studios.
The building will provide no parking for residents, as it is in the Ballard Hub Urban Village and is close to transit options. There will be bicycle and scooter parking in front.
You can read more about the design in a packet found here.
