Ryther Thrift Shop reopening
What: The Restyle for Ryther thrift store will officially reopen with a ribbon cutting. It will have a brand new look and fashions for women, men and home as well as books and jewelry all to support healthy children and stronger families locally. Ballardians will have a new place to shop, donate and volunteer their time.

Populuxe Brewing hosts benefit to support brain cancer research
What: Catherine Halloran was diagnosed with a brain tumor in early March, 2011. She underwent a partial tumor resection in early March, but they had to leave 1/3 of it there as it is inoperable. Catherine’s family has banded together to build awareness and advance the search for a cure for brain cancer. Her sister Helen, has put together this awesome benefit show with all proceeds going to support the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk.

Ballard ArtWalk
What: It's second Saturday, which means Ballard ArtWalk! During the Art Walk, artists open their studios to the public and neighborhood businesses host local art on their wall. The Ballard Art Walk showcases painting, glass art, sculpture, performance, and more, in venues from Leary Way to Shilshole, and as far north as 65th.
