Jan. 13 officers responded to a burglary at the 100 block of Northwest 76th Street. The complainant told officers that the rear door of the garage had been pried open and the doorframe had been damaged. The complainant said that nothing had been taken from the garage. Officers were unable to recover any fingerprints.

Jan. 11 on the 8800 block of 29th Avenue Northwest, officers responded to a reported burglary. The complainant said that someone had entered her house through a dining room window, which was unlocked at the time. She could not determine if the burglary took anything and did not know if she was home when the suspect entered the house.

Jan. 10 on the 7600 block of 3rd Avenue Northwest, officers responded to a burglary. The complainant said that she left her home that morning and returned to find the door had been kicked in. She went to her car and called the police. The complainant said she was missing two laptop computers, one iPad, five men's watches; including a Rolex inscribed with the husband’s name, and various women's jewelry, including a watch. Officers were able to lift three different prints from a jewelry box.

Jan. 10 at the 1300 block o f Sherman Road Northwest, officers responded to a burglary and found the complainant at her home. She said that she had left her home that morning and when she returned she found the front door to her house wide open. She found that the closets and drawers in two bedrooms had been rummaged through. She also found the point of entry where the suspect had pried open a back sliding door and damaged the frame. The complainant could not determine if anything was taken. A neighbor said that two males had knocked on her door earlier that day and asked if they could do odd jobs for her, but she said it seemed like they weren’t really interested in doing work and more interested in just seeing if someone was home. She described these men as white and in their 30’s, one with a beard and wearing a beanie and the other had saggy jeans and a chain.

Jan. 5 at the 1200 block of 7th Avenue Northwest, officers arrived on the scene where the complainant was waiting for them. He said he had been gone for four days and when he returned he found his door had been pried open. He reported jewelry missing from two bedrooms and a computer had been taken from his office. Officers were unable to lift any prints from the scene.
