Disturbance at Ballard Library
At the Ballard Library Feb. 13 there was an attempted assault on a librarian after the suspect was told to leave for yelling. After being told to stop disturbing others, the suspect became enraged and accused the librarians of being discriminating toward “Hispanics” and “lesbians.” The suspect picked up a paperweight and threw it at a librarian but missed. The librarians called the police but the suspect was gone before they arrived. The librarians said that they have had problems with the suspect in the past. Currently, not court order has been filed.
