Back door man pilfers passport and credit card
April 18 -- Officers responded to a burglary at the 9700 block of 12th Avenue Northwest. The complainant told officers that when he returned home around 10:30 p.m., he noticed the back door of his home had been kicked in. A burglar broke in and went through dresser drawers and a desk, and took a passport and a credit card. No fingerprints were recovered.
Bus bandits make off with cell phone
April 17 – Officers responded to a robbery at the 1200 block of 9th Avenue Northwest. The resident told officers that while on the bus he noticed three males sitting behind him. When he exited the bus at the intersection of Northwest 125th Street and Third Avenue Northwest, he noticed the males following him. The suspects ran up behind him and demanded his cell phone. One of the suspects grabbed the phone out of his hand and the three fled southbound on Third Avenue Northwest.
Real estate office rifled
April 17 – At the 2800 block of Northwest Market Street officers responded to a burglary at a business. Officers made contact with an employee who showed the officers the point of entry. The suspect entered through exterior door by damaging the door handle. Then the suspect cut through a section of dry wall to bypass an interior door and gained access to a real estate office. The suspect took a Macbook Pro. No fingerprints were recovered from the scene.
Fiend filches jewelry and computer
April 17 – Officers responded to a burglary at the 900 block of Northwest 52nd Street. The complainant told officers that while he was gone a suspect smashed through a back window and stole his wife's jewelry, a computer, and some other electronics. Officers found no fingerprints.
