Burglar hit with gun
April 28 – At the 1500 block of Northwest 100th Street officers responded to a burglary in progress. At the scene they found two men in a fight. Officers reprimanded the two, and witnesses told officers one was attempting to rob the other. The complainant told officers that he heard someone trying to kick his side garage door, and so he armed himself with a handgun and went outside. He told the suspect to get off his property, but the suspect kept kicking at the door. The complainant then pushed the suspect and a fight ensued. In the scuffle the complainant struck the suspect in the face with his gun. The suspect was bleeding from the head but said he did not feel pain. He was treated for his wounds and booked in King County Jail.
Two men ‘dance,’ one choked
April 28 – at the 900 block of 3rd Avenue Northwest officers responded to an assault. The victim called 911 and told officers that he was staying as a guest at the residence and that the suspect (resident) tried to strangle him. The residence is listed as a hazard because of numerous 911 calls. The victim told officers that the suspect was making too much noise, so when the suspect went outside the complainant locked him out. The suspect got back in by using a credit card on a sliding glass door. The two got in an argument and then a scuffle. The suspect said that they “danced.” The suspect started choking the victim. The victim managed to get away and call 911. Officers placed the suspect under arrest and he was booked at King County Jail.

April 23 – At the 5600 block of 24th Avenue Northwest officers responded to a burglary/forced entry at a cafe. The complainant and business owner told officers that when he arrived that morning he saw that the door was damaged. The suspect had pried his way through the first door and then separated another door from the frame. The suspect forced the cash drawer open and took all the cash from the register. The suspect also took all the money from the employee tip jar (vase) and then fled. Officers were able to lift fingerprints from the vase.
