The Ballard News-Tribune staff are avid campers with a voracious appetite for action. They can be found at trailheads across the state at 4:32 a.m., waiting for the sun to rise while reading an Evel Knievel biography, sipping coffee brewed in-car using an oil funnel, a worn out map and an old tin can.

Our advertising representatives are mushroom foragers and were disappointed with the lack of morels this season, but are busy plucking berries with the bears.

The Art Department staff are most comfortable white water rafting, mud-diving and shredding trails -- risking it all for the thrill of kicking-out over fallen trees at break-neck speeds down the throat of mountain.

Jeepers! We sure do have stories to tell at the office.
