Thieves take beer, beat clerk with folded belt
Seattle Police are investigating a robbery and assault that took place at a convenience store on the 9000 block of Holman Road NW on May 25. The victim told police that two male suspects – one white, one black – entered the store and split up. The number one suspect went to the back of the store and grabbed two cases of beer. He dashed out the door. The other suspect lagged behind. The store clerk followed the suspect into the parking lot and attempted to retrieve the beverages. There was the scuffle. The suspect took off his belt, folded it in half and struck the clerk on the head and body. He made off with the beer. The clerk tried to follow but fell. The second suspect ran during the scuffle. Police dispatched a K9, and the stolen goods were found behind the building. Police believe the suspects got in a waiting car and drove off. The clerk said he would be able to recognize the suspects if he saw them again. He declined medical treatment for scrapes and scuffs.
Burglar makes off with games and jewelry
Police are investigating a burglary in Loyal Heights that left one man missing video games, jewelry and credit cards. The burglary took place on the 8300 block of Loyal Way NW on May 22. The complainant told officers that he was leaving his home for work and noticed a blue 90s van in the back alley of his home. He did not recognize the van. He left but felt uneasy and returned home to check if all his doors were locked. They were. However, when he returned home later that day he found his home had been rummaged through and items taken. Items included limited edition controllers and games, two green jewelry boxes, pearl jewelry, one emerald square cut and silver setting necklace and credit cards. Police believe the suspect pried open a sliding glass door located at the back of the home. No fingerprints were recovered at the scene.
Punks shoplift store, say ‘We take what we want’
Police are searching for some punk kids who have repeatedly stole items from a store on the 8300 15th Avenue NW on May 21. The complainant said he has had problems with these juveniles before and that his staff immediately confronted them as they entered the store. The kids said,"If you touch us I will [expletive] you up!" and "We'll beat your face in!" The punks took a few small items, mostly sweets, and pushed through the store staff. On their way out they said, "We take what we want!" The suspects swaggered out to the bus and fled the scene. The storeowner was able to provide the names and ages of each of the suspects. Police are investigating.
