Pot deal turns to armed robbery
Police are on the look out for a group of young black males involved in an armed robbery that occurred outside a service station on the 9200 block of Holman Road North on May 31. Victims include two juvenile males and two juvenile females. They told police that they had spent the day at the beach and were walking home when a young black male approached them. He asked one of the females if she had in marijuana he could buy. She did. Amid the transaction the suspect grabbed the pot and said he wouldn’t pay. The female victim become angry and the two argued. The suspect then pulled out a small semi-automatic pistol and pointed it in the air to deter anyone from stopping him making off with the marijuana. The suspect fled. The group of victims felt unsafe and walked north away from the services station. The suspect returned with two other black males and grabbed the female victim’s purse. She didn’t let go of the bag and was knocked to the ground and dragged. She wouldn’t let go of the bag. The other two male victims tried to intervene. Then all the suspects revealed their pistols. Victims report that at least one suspect pointed the gun at them. The suspects fled with the bag. The female victim said there was about $30 in her purse and some marijuana.
Heroin dealer knocks man out, takes $900
One man is missing $900 in cash after he was assaulted and robbed in his home on the 8500 block of Mary Avenue NW. The man told Seattle Police that he is a heroin user and that he picked up a heroin dealer on the 105th block of Aurora Avenue N. They went back to is home and used the drug. The victim said he immediately felt ill and thought that the dealer had put something else in the drug cocktail. When he came to, he saw that the money he had placed on a desk was gone. He accused the dealer of taking it. The dealer punched the victim in the face and knocked him unconscious. When the victim recovered he found that his cell phone and $900 were taken from his home. He waited to call the police until following day.
Woman’s jewelry ransacked, electronics undisturbed
A woman is missing precious jewelry after her home on the 1000 block of NW 76th Street was burglarized on May 29. The complainant told Seattle police that she left her home for work and was gone all day. She returned to find her back door pried open. There was a dog home during the burglary. The complainant’s neighbor was also home during the burglary but did not hear anything over the loud construction noise happening nearby. The burglar rummaged through drawers and closets and took an antique amber ring, crucifix necklaces and baby lockets. The complainant said that the jewelry was not worth very much money but had more sentimental value. The estimated value is over $200. Surprisingly, valuable electronics were not disturbed. No latent prints were recovered.
