Jewel thief plunders North Seattle home

A North Seattle couple is missing jewelry after a burglary occurred at their home located on the 300 block of NW 112 Street on June 17. After coming home they found drawers in their master bedroom rummaged through. A jewelry box was disturbed and jewelry was taken. They could not determine what else had been stolen. The victims thought the suspect entered through an open window in the bathroom. It appeared that the suspect fled the scene through the back basement door. A neighbor reported seeing two white males wearing shorts and baseball caps outside the home earlier that day. She saw one leave the home carrying a blue and white duffel bag. They were last seen going eastbound on North 112th Street. No evidence was found at the scene.

Cat-door burglar makes off with $2,400 in goods

A Ballard man is missing $2,400 of after a burglary occurred at his residence on the 1000 block of 12th Avenue NW. The victim came home to find his deadbolt locked. He thought this was odd because he normally only locks the door handle. Once inside he found his house ransacked. Police believe the suspect made his way in through the cat door because it was popped off and the deadbolt was undamaged. Neighbors reported seeing a suspicious red sedan parked in front of the home that day. No fingerprints were recovered from the scene.

Drop cam captures three burglars in the act

Police on looking for three black males who burglarized a residence located on the 100 block of NW 87th Street on June 15. Residents of the home say that they came home and found a window opened and the screen broken. The victim said that many of their electronics were taken including a TV, PlayStation and computers. Her husband’s Drop Camera captured footage of the three suspects while they rummaged through the house. The camera observed the men being in the home for 30 minutes. At the time of the report the husband was at work but said he could provide the footage to police. No fingerprints were found at the scene. The estimated loss is believed to be $408.
