West Seattle
Leading off the day is the Float Dodger 5k run that takes place on California Ave SW. Registration begins at 8:00am It starts on the track at Hiawatha Community Center, at 2700 California Ave SW
West Seattle Rotary Kiddies Parade begins at 11:00 am and forms on July 22, 2017, at Genesee and California Avenue SW and steps off at 11:00 AM just ahead of the Grand Parade heading south about 4 blocks to Edmunds. Children may start signing in at 9:45 AM. Bring your bikes and wagons; parents bring your strollers. Free balloons!
The West Seattle Grand Parade starts at 11:00 am. The parade occurring annually since 1935, is hosted by the West Seattle Rotary Service Foundation and is one of the oldest and most beloved community events in the Seattle area. The West Seattle Grand Parade includes participants from the Hi-Yu royalty and celebrates the diverse community and participants of the greater Seattle area. It is a proud member of the Seafair family of events and includes all of the pirates, clowns, marching bands, drill teams, floats, pageantry and excitement that leads up to the Seafair Torchlight Parade the following weekend.
The Alki Art Fair will hold it’s 22nd annual event on the Promenade near the Alki Bathhouse on Saturday and Sunday featuring 90 plus artists and 40 plus musical acts. The event is free and family friendly.

Vashon Island Strawberry Festival has a parade on Saturday at 11 a.m., a dance in the evening Saturday at 9 p.m.), a music stage, a car parade set for Sunday at 11:45 a.m., carnival rides, a beer garden, and 200 vendors. This a free event. A shuttle service from the ferry boat costs $1.
