Join WithinReach for its 3rd Annual Big Wigs & Swigs fundraising event Friday, October 13th, 2017 to help ensure Washington families have the food and health resources they need to be healthy this winter. The event will be held in Ballard, at Sunset Hill Community Association from 6:30pm-10pm. Families need so many things to thrive. Clearly, one of the most basic is healthy food, because hungry kids can’t learn, and hungry adults can’t work, learn and parent productively. So, WithinReach is asking community members to do something about it. This event helps connect Washington kids, individuals and families to healthy and nutritious food.
Tickets can be purchased at www.withinreachwa.org/2017-big-wigs-and-swigs.
Why wigs? Historically, members of the judicial court had specific court attire, including wearing wigs. Hence, guests wear wigs at this event to advocate for food access for all Washington families! Throughout the night, community members will have the opportunity to bid on local silent auction items, network with WithinReach staff and public health professionals, win prizes for the best wigs and raise the paddle for Washington families in need.
“Big Wigs & Swigs is an awesome event where guests let their hair down, or put it up, enjoy good food and drink, and laugh a lot, all while helping build the community we all want to live in –one where all families are healthy and safe. That’s a huge win for everyone! We hope to see you there!” Said Kay Knox, CEO of WithinReach.
