On Tuesday, January 16, two significant Nordic Museum pieces will be moved: the Nordic Spirit boat and the Finnish sauna – both pieces will be placed at our new location on Market Street. It’s not every day that a mid-1800s boat and Finnish sauna make their way through the streets of Ballard!!!
Timing below is approximate, with the boat being moved in the morning, and the sauna moving around noon.

a 1-mile trek by land; the Nordic Spirit was built as fishing boat in the mid-1800s in northern Norway; was once part of a Volvo Penta advertising campaign in the 1970s
When: Tuesday, January 16

Where: From Nordic Heritage Museum @ 3014 NW 67th Street, Seattle (entrance on 68th between 30th & 32nd) to new Nordic Museum @ 2655 NW Market Street, Seattle – East Garden
