Fatal collision of Seaview Ave NW

Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are investigating an early a fatal collision with a car and bicycle in the 7000 block of Seaview Avenue NW. Around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14, officers responded to reports of the incident. The Seattle Fire Department also responded. Despite their efforts, the bicyclist was declared deceased at the scene. Officers evaluated the driver for any signs of impairment, but none were detected. The driver was released.

Attempted burglary to storage unit

Officers received notice around 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 19 from an individual residing in the 5400 block of Leary Ave NW. The victim lives in a condo with a storage unit in the basement. Pry marks prove that someone tried to break into the storage area, but the victim does not believe any property was stolen. The door was damaged, however, and needs to be replaced.
