Ballard and West Seattle were both blasted by their opponents in the Metro League baseball playoffs at Mel Olson Stadium at Steve Cox Memorial Park Wednesday.
Ballard took an 11-6 beating at the hands of Eastside Catholic in the first game and West Seattle fell to Garfield by a 13-4 score in the second.
Both teams are still alive, however, and play back-to-back games at the Southwest Athletic Complex near Chief Sealth this Friday.
West Seattle battles Bishop Blanchet at 4 p.m. before Ballard plays Lakeside at approximately 7 p.m.
