information from Seattle Parks and Recreation
Seattle Parks and Recreation has plenty of ways for you to enjoy the sunshine this Memorial Day weekend, including nine sprayparks, two pre-season beaches and two outdoor pools.
Sprayparks: Grab your little ones and frolic in a spray of cool, refreshing water. Sprayparks create smiles and summer fun from the moment the water turns on Memorial day weekend until they close on Labor Day weekend.
*Spraypark schedules are subject to change. Check here for details.
Pre-season beaches: Take a dip at one of our two lifeguarded, pre-season beaches. East Green Lake and Madrona beaches are open for the pre-season from May 26 through June 22 (Weekdays 2 p.m.-7 p.m.; Weekends 11 a.m.-7 p.m.). Click here for pre-season beach details, as well as information on our seasonal beach openings.

Outdoor Pools: There’s no shortage of fun to be had at our two unique outdoor pools, which feature daily public swims, family swims, lap swims, themed events and slides.
·Lowery C. “Pop” Mounger Pool, at 2535 32nd Ave. W, 206-684-4708, is open daily May 12 to Sept. 9. Please note the pool will be closed for staff training on July 9 from 1 – 9 p.m. and July 22 from 8 – 11 a.m. Mounger Pool is really two pools in one place. The “big pool” has a 50-foot corkscrew slide and the warmer, shallower “little pool” is great for relaxing and for teaching little ones. Call the pool to reserve it for your own birthday party or other special event.
