Couple tries again—and again—to break into home
Around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, officers headed to the 9000 block of 4 Ave NW to investigate a burglary. When they arrived, they found the victim, who reported that she was dealing with an ongoing problem. Two days earlier, she was awakened around 5 a.m. by someone attempting to open her front door. The following day, her dog started barking at 5:15 a.m. and woke her up. Again, she heard someone trying to open her front door. This time she was awakened at 4 a.m. and heard a man and woman outside. The woman said, “We’ve already tried this house several times.” The suspects then left the scene.
Burglar sneaks into unlocked window
A man residing in the 200 block of NW 100 St. called police around 9:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 17 to report a burglary at his residence. Officers arrived at the scene of the crime, and the victim showed them where a tired had been moved to the gate to allow the suspect to gain entry into his backyard. The suspect then used a ladder that was in the yard to climb into an unsecure window. Once inside, he stole a computer. The victim believes that the crime occurred two days earlier but he did not notice the computer missing at first. Officers were able to see marks on the window that were consistent with it being pushed up. The marks, however, indicated that the burglary wore gloves.
