information from Seattle Department of Transportation
This cycle will be a little different from previous cycles. Based on the feedback we received from past participants, we have improved the process in the following ways:
- Application workshops: we’ll host workshops in various communities through November 19 to increase accessibility and facilitate neighborhood collaboration. Check our website for dates and times.
- Translations: materials including the application will be offered in seven languages for equity and inclusion.
- Community sorting: in January and February, we’ll hold meetings where communities can rank proposed projects according to wants and needs.
- Public voting: once projects have been prioritized to top projects per council district, the public will vote on the projects they would most like to see constructed in their neighborhoods.
NSF funds community-proposed transportation improvement projects in the City’s Right of Way. This cycle, your project could be selected. Click here to fill out your application online. The application period will close November 19. Check our website for upcoming application workshops near you.
