Dear Editor:

People of all persuasions have different priorities and different tolerances. But for most people… money and power (at least the power of determining your own destiny) are at or near the top of the list. We all would like to have more money, even wealthy people up to a certain point for some, want more. It’s human nature. Altruism, and the softer virtues such as honesty, seem to consistently take a back seat.

So it comes down to what you are willing to tolerate to get, and keep that money or power. The Bible says “the love of money is the root of all evil” which is demonstrably true.

But for a moment, let’s take money out of the equation. Since money and the love of it are often driven by greed and self interest.

I acknowledge that unemployment is at a historic low (though most of the jobs are low paying service jobs, many at or below a living wage). I acknowledge that the stock market is at historic highs and that investors are reaping rewards. But again, this is money so let’s take that away for the sake of this discussion.

What we are left with in Donald Trump’s administration is a man who

* Cheated on his wife while she was pregnant with a porn star and paid her off to keep her quiet

* Took money from a charity and had to pay a $2 million fine

* Cheated people who signed up for Trump University repeatedly and had to pay a $25 million fine.

* Has lied a recorded 13,000 times since taking office (also historic by the way)

* Permitted, and endorsed the separation of children from the parents keeping them in cages

* Presided over the gutting of the Education Department, the Enviornmental Protection Agency, the Justice Department, the State Department and others

* Become a laughing stock among world leaders

* Clearly asked foreign nations to get involved in American elections from Russia to the Ukraine, to China. We have all of them recorded

* Mocked a disabled man

* Encouraged violence multiple times at his rallies

* Took on a 16 year old girl with petty insults

* Had 23 people associated with him indicted on criminal charges with several now serving prison time

* Promoted the “birther” myth about Barrack Obama which was conclusively proven to be a lie

* Insulted and demeaned an American war hero

* Been accused by more than 23 women of sexual assult

* Despite the complete agreement between SEVENTEEN different intelligence agencies that Russia meddled in the election he continues to deny it and keeps promoting a widely debunked theory that somehow Ukraine was the guilty party... a favorite talking point of Vladimir Putin.

* Has driven the national debt to terrifying heights meaning in the inevitable downturn (and don't kid yourself.. it's coming) we are being set up for a depression deeper than the nation has ever known.

and so much more it is literally dizzying..

What this means is that if you support him or even love him you are not just in favor.

You are JUST like him.

You endorse and would do all the same things. You’d cheat and payoff a pornstar, cheat people out of money, steal from a charity, repeatedly insult children.. you would do this… not him YOU.

You would applaud people seeking freedom dying horribly. You’d hang out with dozens of criminals. You’d exaggerate everything about your life, mischaracterize everything you’ve ever done. You’d fail and file for bankruptcy more than five times. You would sexually assault more than two dozen women.

You in short would and apparently DO have literally zero morals.

But hey.. the stock market is doing really well.
