Officers arrest meth dealer in Ballard; Later released on his own recognizance
This is just some of what was recovered following the arrest of a suspected methamphetamine dealer in Ballard on Dec. 3. He was arrested and later released on his own recognizance.

Officers arrested a drug dealer in Ballard early Thursday, Dec. 3 and recovered a significant amount of methamphetamine and other narcotics.
Police met the man shortly after midnight after setting up a deal to buy drugs from the 45-year-old suspect. Officers arrested the man and recovered 176 grams of meth,10 grams of heroin, five grams of mushrooms, and 66 doses of Suboxone, a prescription drug used in opioid addiction treatment, sometimes sold by street dealers in place of heroin. The man was also in possession of more than $1,300 cash and multiple debit cards in another person’s name.
Police then booked the suspect into the King County Jail for narcotics possession with intent to distribute.

On 1212/20 I was working as a Seattle Police Officer as Unit #A 13. During an investigation we were able to contact S. Thoresen using a CW. An agreement was made to exchange methamphetamine for currency at a specific location and a specific time. S. Thoresen was observed walking to the meeting location and was positively identified. Officers arrived and took S. Thoresen into custody. S. Thoresen had his Miranda Warnings read to him and he stated he understood.
Search incident to arrest, a significant amount of methamphetamine, heroin, psilocybin mushrooms, prescription medication were located in his backpack along with US Currency. The suspected narcotics and currency were transported to the West Precinct for processing.
The suspected methamphetamine weighed at 176.5 grams, 10 grams of Heroin, 5.6 grams of Mushrooms, 1.4 grams of an unknown sticky substance, and 66 individual tabs of Suboxone doses.
The methamphetamine and heroin field tested positive. All the suspected narcotics were submitted to the SPD Evidence Unit via the West Precinct Evidence Room.
The US Currency that was located in S. Thoresen's backpack was counted at 1,342.19. The currency was seized and submitted to the SPO Evidence Unit via the West Precinct Evidence Room. A SeizureINotice of Forfeiture Form was completed for the currency.
S. Thoresen was later booked into KCJ for investigation of VUCSA-PWI.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office presented the investigation details and asked a judge to hold Mr. Thoresen in the King County Jail.
A judge released Mr. Thoresen on his personal recognizance.
