Kiddies, wear a spooktacular costume and get free admission to Woodland Park Zoo’s Pumpkin Bash presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union. On Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30, enjoy a weekend of Halloween fun for kids and animals! Hippos, otters, bears, penguins, and other animals will gobble, smash, and play with pumpkins and autumn-themed treats while little goblins and ghosts trick-or-treat at the zoo.
During Pumpkin Bash, one child 12 years and under in costume is admitted to the zoo FREE with a paid adult.
The pumpkins and fall-themed treats are part of the zoo’s excellent animal care program to help enrich the lives of the zoo’s animals. The safe activities help encourage natural animal behavior, keep animals mentally and physically stimulated and provide extraordinary experiences for zoo guests.
WHEN: Saturday–Sunday, October 29–30, 9:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

INFO:
For Halloween and other sweet occasions, use this treat shopping guide that will delight trick-or-treaters and save forests and wildlife a world away: www.zoo.org/palmoil. The list features companies that are committed to sourcing certified sustainable palm oil that is deforestation free.
Many confections include palm oil, the bulk of which is grown in Indonesia and Malaysia. In order to produce palm oil (the most widely used vegetable oil on the planet), tropical rain forest and peat swamps are being converted to agricultural land, confining the animals that live in these areas to much smaller habitat patches and making them susceptible to poaching and hunting, not to mention competition with other animals for limited resources.
Woodland Park Zoo offers a safe, outdoor experience for all. Zoo hours: 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. daily.
Accessibility: Information about accessibility and resources, one-to-one aides, sighted guides, mobility equipment rentals, and a sensory map and tools can be found at www.zoo.org/access. For questions or to request disability accommodations for zoo programs or events, contact zooinfo@zoo.org.
