Wrestling
SPSL North
Thomas Jefferson took eighth place with 96 points and Mount Rainier ninth with 79 in Saturday's meet. K.W. Williams of TJ defeated Matt Hopkins of Tahoma, 8-4, in the 195-pound finale.
SPSL South
Todd Beamer High School finished fourth with 219.5 points in Saturday's action and Federal Way finished ninth with 90.5.
Jordan Rhodes of Beamer took second at 106 pounds with a 9-0 loss in the final, but teammate Brett Dykman won, 8-6, in the 113-pound final. Brian Dykman lost, 8-1, in the 120 final and Ares Carpio of Beamer won by a 22-9 major decision at 126 pounds.
Deshar House of Beamer was second at 138 with a 13-8 loss before teammate Lance Gibson won, 9-3, at 152. Federal Way's Jessy Leifi won by injury default at 285 pounds.
SPSL 3A
Enumclaw won with 427 points over the 366 of second place Decatur.
Trysten Dawson of the Gators won by pin at 106 and Nick Lindholm won, 7-4, at 126. Brandon Zimmerman lost the 145 final by pin and Nick Karis won by a 9-8 score at 160.
Rowland Gaydosh won by major decision at 170 and Kyle Gleed of the Gators won by pin at 285.
Spencer Smith lost, 6-0, at 182 and Jordan Schultz was pinned in the 195 final.
Girls wrestling
SPSL 4A meet
Federal Way took second with 198 points in Saturday's girls action and Todd Beamer was fourth with 67.
Kim Mored of the Eagles won the 100-pound match by pin in 1:50 and Arian Carpio of Beamer won the 106 finale by pin in 3:50.
Bianca Arizpe was a winner by injury default over Federal Way teammate Victoria Pena at 112 pounds.
Axa Molina of the Eagles took second at 118 pounds with a loss by pin in 3:56 and Vanessa Dixon of the Titans took a loss by pin 5:13 into the 137 final. Luaipou Lologo of Federal Way won the 145 final by pin in 3:41 and teammate Jessica Cabanada took second at 155 with a loss by pin in 1:46. Jacklyn Baules of the Eagles lost the 170 final by a 9-2 score to finish second.
