Decatur 70, Kennedy 62
Decatur captured the No. 1 seed into the 3A West Central District tournament with Friday's win over Kennedy Catholic.
The Gators open district action with a 6:15 p.m. game at Franklin Pierce Friday. The tournament continues Saturday and concludes with the finals at 2 p.m. Monday at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

Girls basketball
Enumclaw 59, Decatur 46
The Gator girls season ended with Saturday's loss to Enumclaw in the South Puget Sound League Class 3A tournament.
Union 50, TJ 32
Thomas Jefferson's season also ended Saturday as the Raiders lost a pigtail game for the final WCD girls berth at Union High School.
Boys wrestling
4A Region II
Todd Beamer took second place at Saturday's tournament held at Rogers High School in Puyallup, scoring 132.5 points behind the 212 of first place Graham-Kapowsin. Federal Way came in 14th with 23.5 points.
Ares Carpio of Beamer won at 126 pounds by a 16-3 major decision in the championship match. Jessy Leifi of Federal Way won by pin in 3 minutes, 7 seconds at 285 pounds.
Jordan Rhodes of the Titans of Todd Beamer finished second at 106 pounds with a 7-1 loss in the final and teammate Brett Dykman finished second at 113 with a 10-3 loss. Deshar House of the Titans took second at 138 pounds with an 8-7 loss and teammate Lance Gibson came in second at 152 pounds with a 3-1 loss.
Next up is the state tournament this coming Friday and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.
4A Region III
Thomas Jefferson hosted the Region III tournament and came in 10th with 38 points, while Mount Rainier took 16th with 13.5.
K.W. Williams of the Raiders won the 195-pound title, defeating Matt Hopkins of Tahoma by a 6-4 score. Williams ran his record to 36-1.
Girls wrestling
Region II
The girls Region II tournament involving individuals from all classifications was held at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup Saturday.
White River won with 124 points ahead of the 131 points of second place Federal Way. Todd Beamer was ninth with 46.
Arian Carpio of the Titans took the 106-pound title by pin in 3:23 and Axa Molina of Federal Way took a loss by pin at 4:52 into the 118. Vanessa Dixon was second in the 137-pound class after taking a 10-1 loss in the final.
