Yesterday afternoon under sunny skies kids and adults gathered for Buriens 1st annual bicycle pie jousting completion.
The event was put on by BTownies Burien Bike Share and sponsored by Mick Kelly's and the Alaskan Brewing Company as a fund raiser for the purchase of bicycle racks for downtown Burien and the furtherance of Burien's bike culture.

There was a kids class and an adult class that drew people from many areas around Burien.
Tacoma resident 15 year old Madison Hourihan won the kids class.
Kurt Fykerud, owner of Bicycles West won the adult class. He gave his winning bike to the 3rd place finisher.
DB Watkins and his handlebar mustache finished second and Jason Williamson took third dressed as a knight.
$50 gift cards from Bicycles West were given away to the winners of the children jousting competition and two touring bicycles were given away for the adult grand prizes, one donated by Mick Kelly's Irish Pub in Burien and the other by the Alaskan Brewing Co. in Juneau, Alaska.
