A shootout between passengers in two vehicles near the Silverwood Park Apartments in Des Moines sent three people to the hospital on Dec. 14.

One arrest has been made in the Dec. 14 Des Moines shooting that sent three people to the hospital after an attempted medical marijuana robbery, according to Sgt. Bob Bohl with the Des Moines Police Department.
The shooting occurred on Dec. 14 at the Silverwood Park Apartments.
Bohl said the arrested suspect was not injured in the shooting.
The 52-year-old male (who was shot in the head) had made arrangements to sell what he claimed was medical marijuana and the transaction turned into an attempted robbery, Bohl said.
Two of the robbery suspects were shot, although police did not say whether they were shot by the 52-year-old.
Arrests are pending against additional suspects and this story will be updated when more information comes in.
Update for Dec. 15
An altercation between two separate parties led to three serious gunshot wounds in Des Moines on Wednesday, according to Des Moines Police.
The shooting occurred at the Silverwood Park Apartments on the 23000 block of 30th Ave S. around 11:45 a.m.
Responding officers found a 52-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to the head in the apartment parking lot, according to police. He was conscious and able to talk.
Moments later another officer was flagged down by a vehicle at the intersection of S. 216 St. and Pacific Hwy S. He discovered two more shooting victims inside: a 29-year-old male shot in the shoulder and a 25-year-old male shot in the abdomen.
Sgt. Bob Bohl said all three were taken to Harborview Medical Center and everyone involved in the shooting has been identified. No arrests have been made as of yet.

KOMO is reporting three people were injured in a Des Moines shooting around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
The report states passengers from two different vehicles exchanged gunfire outside the Silverwood Park Apartments on the 2300 block of 30th Ave S.
The motive is unknown at this time.
Three people were injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center, according to KOMO.
