Update 10:20pm
A persistent pocket of outage is persisting in Burien with 35 homes still without electricity. City Light confirms it was a tree that caused the outage and they expect to have power restored close to midnight, Christmas night.
The equipment failure in Tukwila however continues to deny power to the 279 homes that lost it in the late morning hours of Christmas day. No time estimate for repair is being offered at the time of this post.

A power outage, likely caused by a mid-Christmas Day wind storm that roared through the greater Seattle area knocked out power to central Burien shortly after 11 am with the fix not expected until after 6 pm.
It affected 188 homes and businesses along s.w. 152nd from 18th s.w. on the west side to Ambaum Blvd. Including many homes on the northern shore of Lake Burien.
A second power outage, caused by an equipment failure, possibly triggered by the first one affected 279 City Light customers in Tukwila in an area covering 148th s.w. to near 152nd St. from Hwy 99 on the west to near 51st Ave. South on the east side. That outage was not expected to be repaired until close to 8 pm.
